Discover Japan's "Shokuhin Sanpuru":

Mouth-Watering Food Models

The art of plastic food models, also known as “Shokuhin Sanpuru”, is a surprising field that Japan has honed to a perfection, and which no other country has come close to replicating.  Food models are commonly used at restaurants all over Japan to attractively display their dishes to potential customers.

How Food Models are Made

  • The Craftsman uses actual food to create molds in multiple different stages for realistic texture, and add extra decorations and various colors to create the most appetizing looking models possible.

  • ALL OF OUR FOOD MODELS ARE HANDCRAFTED by our craftsman, Masanori Honda.
